Royal Botanical Gardens – Madrid
Charles III moved the gardens from Huerta de Migas Calientes. The botanical gardens were inaugurated in the year 1781. The person responsible for plans was Francisco Sabatini. He is the person that designed a really geometrical, neo-classical, sober garden that respects scientific requirements. At the end of the design process we also saw the influence of Juan de Villanueva
Orotava Climatisation Garden
Here you can so easily see over 2,000 plant species. Many come from countries with a tropical climate and there is a really spectacular palm trees collection. The geographical location in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife basically means that those that visit the islands can also enjoy some of the really unique plants in the continent.
The Botanical Gardens Studies Experience
During the nineteenth century, we saw a huge rise in popularity for private plant collections. This included so many small gardens in the country. Many of these still exist, creating areas that are perfect for both leisure and learning. The options that you definitely want to take into account include:

Valencia Botanical Gardens
This is a true gem. It appeared during the nineteenth century, being inaugurated in the year 1802. Currently, the gardens are basically a living museum. You can see 30,000 Mediterranean plants present. To make matters even more interesting, we can see carnivorous plants, medicinal plants, desert plants and palm tree species nobody really saw before.
Viera Y Clavvijo Botanical Gardens
Located in Gran Canaria and officially inaugurated in the year 1959, this botanical garden includes flora that is characteristic of the Canary Islands. There are around 500 plants that are endemic in the islands, many being the sole survivors of geological eras that do not exist anymore. We are talking about a 27 hectares garden that is simply beautiful to experience.
