There are an inordinate number of places that one can explore in the United Kingdom but the best UK destinations to explore consist of Buckingham Palace, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, Oxford University and the Manchester United Football Club.

When a person thinks of the UK one of the first thoughts is about the royal family and where they reside. The official residence of Queen Elizabeth and the royal family is Buckingham Palace which is located in London, England. This incredible palace is a reservoir of history. When there are times for great celebration or times of crisis and mourning it is at the palace where the people of Great Britain will look to congregate. The palace is representative of the power and wealth of England. However, before you visit Buckingham Palace you must decide on how you will be traveling within London.

However, before you travel to London you need to have congestion Charge phone number to know about the congestion charging zone in London. If one is going to travel by car than one must pay the London Congestion Charge. This is a ten to 12 GBP fee placed on motor vehicles that are driven within the Congestion Charge Zone in central London between 0700 and 1800 Monday to Friday. Don’t let this deter you from visiting London but it’s probably in your best interest to take public transit for travel during the day.   After visiting Buckingham Palace and learning about the history of the royal family you should go and visit the All England Club in Wimbledon, London.

This is the home of the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. It is known for gaining the attention of the royal family who usually will attend as well as famous entertainers throughout the world. What makes this tournament so incredible is that it is renowned for its adherence to the rules of the past whether it be the clothes worn by the players or the food eaten by the players there is a respect and appreciation of the past.

Exploring the pristine grass courts of the All England Lawn Club and learning about how the success of players at the famous Wimbledon Tennis Championships has turned the players into household names is something that should not be missed. When one considers household names another place that must be considered is Oxford University.

The Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher. Prime Minister David Cameron. President Bill Clinton of the United States. These are just a few of the great politicians that have studied at Oxford University, oldest university in the English speaking world. The fact that one of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning that exists in the world is located in the UK makes this a must visit destination. To explore the classrooms and meet the professors and witness the debates between students who one day will be public and business leaders in the UK is an opportunity that should not be missed. Another place that should be explored in the UK, especially during the football season is the Manchester United Football Club.

Manchester United Football Club

The home of Wayne Rooney, David Beckam and Sir Alex Ferguson. This football club is a worldwide brand which has become arguably the most successful football club in the world. They are a constant competitor for the top position in the English Premier League, the best football league in the UK. They almost always play in a stadium that has no empty seats. This is one of the few football clubs in the world that is recognized around the world. Football is the most popular sport in the UK and no visit could be complete without a visit to Old Trafford, the home of the most well-known football club in the UK and arguably the world.
